Volunteer

For those with a short attention span (or a very small screen), simply sign up to the left as a volunteer or email anyone@anywherefest.com and we will get in contact with you

For everyone else…

Why volunteer with us? Well, it is fun, it is a chance to be part of something big, to learn new skills, to put on the cv, access to an office space where you can work on other projects, to meet new people or maybe it is just a reason to get out of the house when your partner is watching “Revenge” (New season on Channel 7 Monday nights 8.30pm ;-)

What type of volunteers are we looking for?

We are looking for people who are curious and who are interested in the idea of the festival. It also helps if you want to muck in. If you are not sure about how to get involved, here are some of the roles we have looked for or are always keen to hear interest in:

  • Office helpers in our new space in the valley
  • Box Office assistants during the festival
  • Audience assisters (Front of house)
  • Social media advocates (Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, umm, maybe MySpace)
  • Anywhere Photographers who can see as much of the festival for free as they want as long as they photograph in and around the festival
  • Anywhere Reviewers who write reviews about any show they want to see.
  • Documentary and filmakers who need a great subject for a project or interviewees
  • Researchers interested in helping us build up the content for www.anywheretheatre.com
  • Venue key master who is responsible for a location and helps companies work with them
  • Marketing and PR

As well as that, some of the independent companies producing in the festival will put out calls for people to help out with their production.

2015 Anywhere Theatre Festival Director

You might think it’s a little early to advertise the role, but we want to start looking for the person that replaces Paul as Festival Director. We want it to be someone from within and what better way than to start with one of the opportunities above (or maybe even a new one we haven’t thought of yet).

If you are interested, drop a cv and introduction email to anyone@anywherefest.com with what you’d like to learn and what you’d like to do.

Get your stuff into us anytime (the sooner the better) and we’ll give you a buzz to provide more detail on the roles and discuss how you can get involved.
